Then, after she explained, she lifted the top of the coffee table. “For your entire life, I kept this side of me from you,” she said with a saddened, erratic smile. Slowly, she pulled out a worn Ghostface mask and a bulky, old style phone. Her voice changed as she spoke into the receiver.“But you want to follow in our footsteps, don’t you, honey?”Reluctantly, Alizè nods.Her mother happily provided her with all of the knowledge she and Billy had accumulated while he was alive, and everything she learned after he was killed. “You’re going to carry your father’s legacy with you wherever you go,” her mother said as she handed Alizè the mask and voice changer, “give the people blood.”“Blood?”“Gallons of the stuff.”And so, it was.
